Rewards Rules

Rewards Rules

Version 2026-11-06.3 · Updated 6 November 2026

DRAFT: for legal review before launch. Placeholders in [square brackets] must be completed by the operator.

These rules explain how points and rewards work in Couch Call. They form part of the Terms of Use. The promoter is Disputex Pty Ltd, ABN 81 699 300 260.

Rewards are redeemed by points balance only. There are no random draws, lucky dips or prizes of chance. Points are earned only through skill: predicting correctly.

1. How points are earned

For each episode you can answer the questions before predictions lock. When the results are entered, you score:

These are the points for a standard-length season (30 episodes). Each season's points are scaled to its length so a whole season is worth about the same however many episodes it has: for example ×2.5 for a 12-episode season and ×0.67 for a 45-episode season (never less than ×0.5 or more than ×3). The values shown on each question in the app already include the scale.

Question typePoints for a correct answer (30-episode season)
Pick a cast member (for example, who gets dumped)100, scaled by the number of choices (100 × choices ÷ 5), up to 200
Pick a couple150
Yes / no50
Custom questionAs shown on the question (100 unless stated)
  • Banker: once per episode you may mark one question as your banker. If it's correct, that question's points are doubled. A wrong banker scores zero, with no penalty.
  • Perfect night: get every question right and you earn a 100-point bonus (scaled with the season).
  • Streak: play consecutive episodes with at least one correct answer to build a streak. Your night's total gets +10% for each episode of streak you bring into it, up to +50%. A night with no correct answers (or no predictions) resets the streak.
  • More than one right answer: if more than one option turns out right (for example, two people are dumped on the same night), picking any of them scores.
  • Didn't happen: if a question's event doesn't happen (for example, nobody is dumped), that question is left out for everyone: nobody gains or loses points, and it doesn't affect streaks or perfect nights.
  • Wrong answers never cost you points.

Points have no cash value, can't be bought, sold or transferred, and may be adjusted to fix scoring errors or misuse.

2. Eligibility

To redeem a reward you must:

  • be 18 or over;
  • be an Australian resident with an Australian delivery email address;
  • hold one account only. One account per person, and one redeeming account per device;
  • have an account that is at least 7 days old; and
  • have played at least 3 scored episodes in a live season.

Employees of Disputex Pty Ltd, and their immediate families, may not redeem rewards.

3. Redeeming

  1. Open Rewards and choose a voucher. The points cost and the value are shown on each one (currently 10,000 points corresponds to $10 of voucher value).
  2. Confirm. The points are reserved straight away and your request shows as Requested.
  3. We run eligibility and anti-fraud checks, then email the voucher to the address on your account, normally within 5 business days. The status changes to Sent.

Points are spent per season. Points you earn in a show's season can only be used for a reward from that season. They don't combine with points from other shows or seasons. If you have points in more than one season, the app uses the season with the most points and shows which one on the Rewards screen.

Redemption window: you can redeem a season's points while it's live and for 30 days after its final episode. After that, those points stay on your profile and in your stats but can't be redeemed.

Caps: each person may redeem 1 reward per show season. Rewards are subject to availability: there is a limited number of cards each calendar month (Sydney time). When this month's cards have gone, new ones become available on the 1st of next month; the Rewards screen shows the date. If a request is cancelled, the points are returned.

4. Fraud and disqualification

We may refuse, cancel or reverse a redemption, remove points, or close accounts if we reasonably believe someone has:

  • used more than one account, or shared a device with another account to redeem twice;
  • used automation, scripts or exploits, or colluded to manipulate scores;
  • given false information (including about age or residency); or
  • otherwise breached the Terms of Use or these rules.

To detect duplicate accounts we keep a one-way keyed hash of a device identifier; see the Privacy Policy.

5. Who funds the vouchers

  • Every voucher is funded and supplied by us, Disputex Pty Ltd. No sponsor pays for rewards, and you never pay anything.
  • Vouchers are digital gift cards for the retailer or brand named on each reward. That retailer's gift card terms apply (shown on the reward), including expiry dates and where the card can be used. Under Australian law, most gift cards sold since November 2019 are valid for at least 3 years.
  • Vouchers can't be exchanged for cash unless the retailer's terms allow it, and can't be transferred or resold.
  • Naming a retailer doesn't mean it sponsors, endorses or is connected with Couch Call. We aren't responsible for the retailer's goods or services, except as required by the Australian Consumer Law.

6. General

We may change these rules, or end the rewards programme, with notice in the app. Changes don't affect redemptions already requested. Questions go to support@couchcall.com.au or /support.

Help us make this better? We'd like to count which screens get used. No ads, no cross-site tracking, and it's off unless you say yes. Privacy
